Oracle database administrators must account for the reality that neither equipment nor people are flawless. Hardware can fail, and human errors are inevitable. Consequently, it is essential to ensure that databases are safeguarded in one way or another. Depending on the organization’s circumstances and requirements, there are various methods to achieve this. However, different backup methods result in different possibilities and limitations when it comes to recovering the database after a disaster.
