It is also a best practice for newer data analysis tools like Power BI to model data using star schemas.

Prior knowledge

Prior knowledge of a specific reporting tool, analysis tool, or database is not required: Dimensional Modeling can be applied in SQL databases, Power BI, and many other tools. To attend the Dimensional Modeling training, it is important that participants work with data themselves.
