In the world of server systems, Linux is playing an increasingly prominent role. We see this reflected in the Oracle ecosystem as well. Oracle has issued platform certifications for various Linux environments such as RedHat and SUSE. This means that Oracle provides support for various products on these environments. Additionally, Oracle has its own Linux distribution (Oracle Enterprise Linux), which is based on RedHat Enterprise Linux. The focus of this course is to teach basic skills for navigating a Linux/Unix environment. Furthermore, the course provides the necessary background knowledge for installing and managing an Oracle environment.

Who should attend?

Computer users who need to use or manage a Linux installation as part of their work. Users who already have some experience with Linux will gain a better overview and understanding through this course.

Prior knowledge

Basic computer knowledge (such as what a file, folder, CD, etc. is) is assumed. Experience with the command line in Windows/DOS is a plus.
