Oracle Designer is an integrated suite of tools used in the development of an information system. This course provides an in-depth exploration of Oracle Designer as a tool for creating a conceptual design of an application. During the course, the various tools for modeling an information system are discussed and demonstrated, along with tips and advice on addressing common challenges and tasks.

This course follows a workshop format, with 60% of the time dedicated to modeling and designing a realistic information system using Oracle Designer. The remaining 40% is allocated to explanations and demonstrations by the instructor.

You will Learn

  • How to use Oracle Designer in the early stages of a project, both in the definition phase (process modeling) and in the analysis phase (function modeling and data modeling).
  • How to work with the repository and the various drawing and reporting tools in Oracle Designer.

Who should attend?

This course is intended for information analysts, designers, and developers who want to quickly gain the skills necessary to work effectively with Oracle Designer. The course focuses on version 10 of Oracle Designer.

Prior knowledge

Knowledge at the level of the course Data Modeling with ERM is assumed. Experience with process and function modeling is advantageous but not required for the course.
